Friends,
Missy and I had the privilege of spending the weekend with some great Christian brothers and sisters from Hollywood and New York, and we were so touched, we wanted to let you know about the ministry. The Ministry is called Mastermedia. This ministry was started 25 years ago, sponsored by Campus Crusade. They recognized the influential role that movies, TV, music and other media play in our culture, and as you know, most if it is not very glorifying to God. So, rather than lead more Christian protests, they decided to start Praying for the Executives at the top of this industry. Then, they decided to start seeking meetings with these individuals to help them understand the Christian “market” for their materials, but more importantly, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. Keep in mind, many of these individuals are Jewish. Lastly, they published a Prayer Calendar to engage people like us to join them in the Prayer effort.
Well, Missy and I have been supporting this ministry for over 10 years, and we hear “God stories” of how He is blessing their efforts. This last weekend, we got to meet some of these people who have come to know the Lord because of this ministry effort. They gathered the Christian media professionals for a Spiritual Summit for worship, teaching, connection and encouragement. It was so special to meet these brothers and sisters who, despite their positions of influence, have been humbled and grounded in Christ. However, they are persecuted for their faith, for they are treading in Satan’s territory.
I just felt lead to share this ministry with you because they really need more supporters and more prayer. I’m also praying about the possibility of bringing Dr. Larry Poland, the founder, to Tulsa to share this ministry.
